PERFORMANCE ORDER

The prevention

For check of a heater of back glass wrap up щуп the voltmeter an aluminium or tin foil to prevent damage of a current-carrying strip of a heater. For breakage definition it is necessary to press a finger a foil and to move it along a current-carrying strip.


1. Start up the engine and include a heater of back glass.
2. Connect negative щуп the voltmeter to "weight" of the car.
3. By turns connect щуп the voltmeter to the centre of each current-carrying strip of a heater of back glass. The voltmeter should show pressure about 6 Century
4. If the voltmeter shows pressure 12 In, means, the current-carrying strip of a heater has breakage from outside between a point of connection of the voltmeter and the party of a heater connected to "weight".
5. If the voltmeter shows pressure more low 0 In, means, the current-carrying strip of a heater has breakage from outside between a point of connection of the voltmeter and the party of a heater connected to the positive plug of the storage battery.
6. For definition of a point of rupture, move щуп on a current-carrying strip of a heater to the corresponding party. The point where the pressure shown by the voltmeter, has sharply changed and is a rupture place.
7. By an ohmmeter measure resistance of each current-carrying strip between the lateral plug of a heater and the centre of each strip. The section of a strip having rupture will have resistance twice above than resistance of other strips of a heater.
