THE GENERAL DATA

Work of a mechanical transmission

Position of the lever of a gear change is traditional for five transfers of a forward course as it is represented in drawing.

At a gear change completely press a pedal of coupling and, after inclusion of corresponding transfer, slowly release it. The special element of safety does not allow to include backing transfer (R) from position of the included fifth transfer (5). The switching lever should return to neutral position, and backing transfer (R) can be then included.


The prevention

Before to include backing transfer (R), be convinced that the car is completely stopped.

For prevention of premature deterioration or coupling damage do not go, having put a foot on a coupling pedal. Also do not use coupling for deduction of the car from movement back on lifting (during a stop at a crossroads, etc.).


Recommended speeds for a gear change

ON THE HIGHER TRANSFER

For normal accelerations it is recommended to switch transfers at next speeds:

This data is based on the spent tests, therefore it is recommended to adhere to the resulted data.

In some situations when it is necessary to use more full capacity of the car, can switch transfers later. But thus never exceed admissible frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine.

ON THE LOWEST TRANSFER

If at delay in a heavy road situation or at movement on descent there will be a necessity to pass to the lowest transfer, switch transfer before frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine will strongly decrease. The lowest transfer reduces probability of a stop of the engine and gives possibility of faster dispersal when in it there will be a necessity. At movement from abrupt descent switching on one transfer downwards will allow to keep safe speed and will prolong service life of brakes.
