Coupling is located between the engine and a transmission and intended for separation and connection of the flywheel located on cranked shaft of the engine and a primary shaft of a transmission.

Coupling consists of a conducted (frictional) disk, a casing of coupling with a press disk and диафрагменной a spring and the mechanism of deenergizing of coupling. The frictional disk consists of two ring frictional overlays which are strengthened on a nave through демпферные springs.

Диафрагменный the spring mechanism creates effort which unites work of a flywheel, press and conducted disks for maintenance of joint rotation, in this case coupling joins and transfers a twisting moment from the engine to a transmission.

Management of coupling is carried out by the pedal of coupling established on one arm with a pedal of a brake. The top part of a pedal of coupling is connected by a cable to the squeezing lever on картере couplings.

Coupling works as follows:

– By pressing a coupling pedal the cable of coupling moves and turns the shaft of the squeezing lever connected to a plug of deenergizing of coupling;
– The plug of deenergizing of coupling moves the bearing of deenergizing of coupling which presses the centre диафрагменной springs, thus, releasing effort of inclusion on perimetre of a spring and moves press a disk back. The conducted disk then the shaft of the engine and a transmission shaft can rotate independently from each other is thus released;
– At release pedals of coupling under the influence of a spring all elements of a drive of coupling revert to the original state and the twisting moment from the engine to a transmission is transferred.

From two parties of a conducted disk frictional overlays are fixed. The leading part of a disk incorporates to a nave through details гасителя крутильных fluctuations which provides elastic communication between them. Гаситель fluctuations reduces the dynamic loadings causing a twisting (раскручивание) of shaft of transmission which arise at sharp change of speed of movement of the car, arrival on roughness of road, sharp inclusion of coupling, and also owing to non-uniformity of a twisting moment of the engine. Elastic fluctuations of details of transmission lead to noise occurrence in mechanisms and units, and also to vibrations therefore damage of details to a case is possible if the amplitude of elastic fluctuations will reach considerable sizes. For absorption of energy elastic крутильных fluctuations serves гаситель.

The free wheeling of a pedal of coupling is regulated in a junction of a cable of coupling with the squeezing lever.
